Brazil's Federal Court has frozen on US$308.3 million in assets from the Opportunity Asset Managements, which is owned by prominent Brazilian banker Daniel Dantas.

Federal Prosecutors ordered the money to be frozen after a report about suspicious bank operations and money laundering.

The prosecutors report alleges the Opportunity Group was involved in two suspicious money transfers.

The two money transfers amounted to 302.6 million dollars and 5.6 million dollars, respectively.

The Opportunity Group will now have to prove the money comes from legitimate sources before the court will agree to have it released.
